Proposal – PPR Bera

PPR Bera is a RM234 million affordable-housing project in Bandar 34, Bera, Pahang, developed through cooperation between the Federal Government and Pahang State Government to provide homes for low-income households without existing property. The project was officially launched with a groundbreaking ceremony on 22 October 2022 and is planned on approximately 90 acres of land, incorporating mixed development. It comprises 1,000 units of single-storey terrace houses, including 10 units specially designed for persons with disabilities (OKU). Supporting facilities include a mosque, TASKA, kindergarten, multipurpose hall and shop lots, creating a more complete residential community rather than housing alone. The project is part of the government’s Program Perumahan Rakyat (PPR) initiative, which targets affordable and decent housing for lower-income Malaysians; PPR eligibility generally includes Malaysian citizenship, household income of up to RM3,000 per month and no existing home. Overall, PPR Bera is a major affordable-housing development intended to improve home ownership and living conditions for approximately 1,000 families in Bera.
