CHC Seri Intan

The Centralised Housing Complex (CHC), Ladang Seri Intan is a strategic residential development initiated by Sime Darby Plantation Berhad (SDPB) to enhance the quality of living for plantation workers and support long-term workforce sustainability. Developed as part of SDPB’s nationwide estate improvement programme, the project addresses ageing workers’ quarters and outdated infrastructure by providing modern, safe, and comfortable housing within an integrated community environment.

Located in Ladang Seri Intan, Teluk Intan, Perak, the development replaces residential quarters that have been in service for more than four decades. The new master-planned community is designed to improve living standards while creating a vibrant neighbourhood that encourages wellbeing, social interaction, and a stronger sense of belonging among workers and their families.

In addition to modern residential units, the Centralised Housing Complex incorporates essential community facilities such as commercial spaces, a surau, landscaped public areas, and supporting infrastructure, creating a self-sustaining environment that benefits both plantation employees and the surrounding community. The project also reflects Sime Darby Plantation’s commitment to sustainable development, employee welfare, and the long-term transformation of Malaysia’s plantation industry.
