TNB Rompin

TNB Rompin refers to electricity infrastructure and grid-development activities by Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) in Rompin, Pahang, rather than a conventional residential property project. Key infrastructure includes the 132kV Tanjung Gemok transmission system, developed to strengthen electricity supply in southern Pahang and Johor, as well as ongoing upgrades to distribution infrastructure serving Rompin and surrounding rural areas. TNB is also currently involved in the Rural Electrification Programme, extending electricity supply to underserved villages in Rompin and other Pahang districts. In addition, Rompin has potential for renewable-energy development, with Pahang identifying Rompin as an area being studied for wind-energy potential, while a 1.2MW Selendang biogas power plant is being developed under a 21-year renewable-energy power purchase agreement with TNB. Overall, TNB’s activities in Rompin focus on strengthening electricity reliability, expanding rural access and supporting the area’s transition toward renewable energy, rather than developing a single standalone property project.
