Hospital Al-Sultan Abdullah (HASA), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM)

Hospital Al-Sultan Abdullah (HASA) is UiTM’s first purpose-built teaching hospital, strategically located within the Puncak Alam Campus to integrate healthcare delivery, medical education, and clinical research. The RM599 million development comprises a 10-storey, 400-bed tertiary teaching hospital with 98 specialist clinics, 17 operating theatres, 17 inpatient wards, dialysis facilities, a surau, and academic spaces accommodating up to 750 medical students. Designed to provide state-of-the-art healthcare while supporting the education of future medical professionals, HASA serves as a major healthcare hub for northern Selangor and reflects UiTM’s commitment to advancing medical excellence through integrated education, research, and patient care. 

Al-Sultan Abdullah Hospital Puncak Alam design was inspired by Zam Zam Water; Sabda Nabi SAW “Sebaik-baik air yang terdapat di muka bumi adalah Zam-zam dan penawar bagi penyakit”

The developments are inclusive of Teaching Hospital with Centre of Medical Academic and Ward, Quarters, prayer hall and support buildings. The design involved not only the materials, spaces, and light but also how we sit, wait, circulate, stay and interact with different forms of service. Focusing on comfortable atmospheres designed with people in mind: the people who use the hospital, the people who work in the hospital and the people who maintain the hospital.
